Puppy Love

I just adore Mo Manning images - wish I was better at colouring animals though. I am having a big finishing off night - trying to find cards I started but never got round to finishing. It is also quite scary to see how much paper I actually have!!
It will soon be the Macmillan coffee morning so I am going to try and make a few cards each week so I can build up a little stash to sell...hopefully. I am determined to load a few more cards tomorrow - hope the weather is better.
Anyway this card is for the following challenges

Flobba dob

Flowerpots always remind me of Little Weed and Bill and Ben. Lyndsey made some cards with flowerpots and flowers  and I have so many odd scraps of card I got carried away and have made a few. I like that the embossed flowerpot fits through the cuttlebug. These would be great for Mothers Day or Get Well but I shall use mine as friendship cards.
Hope your weekend is great - Wolverhampton sees the Olympic Flame on Saturday - lets hope its nice and sunny .
I am going to enter these into the following challenge

Notelets

I had some smaller card blanks and I thought they would make just nice little notelets - have bought  lots of sizzix phrases but obviously not the one I want - so thanks Sarah for lending me 'Hello'.I was just trying to use up bits of card that I had lying around as well - so here they are.

Mellow Yellow Tilda

It's ages since I used some of my older tildas and I love this one. I have had another go at distressing and making it look a bit more vintage. Found my lily of the valley grunge stamps  to edge it with and used a couple of butterflies from the 100s I punched out at Lyndseys [she thinks I am going to sell them on ebay!!]
I am determined to have a bit of a sort out Sunday today..but it's too scary..every drawer I open - every cupboard I look in has something. I need to be ruthless!!!!!
Anyway here she is Mellow Yellow - I think it is a very summery colour so am going to enter her in the following two challenges.

Sew Special

I bought this stamp ages ago - really fiddly to colour in and everytime I work with it I find new things to notice - only noticed today she has a sewing machine on her dress - its a very early penny black stamp - the inside had a complementing stamp that says "You're sew special".

In an empty house tonight - football on in the background - so I thought I'd have a finishing off night - got lots of cards that just need inserts added or that extra bit of bling to be put on - I am full of good intentions but I am halfway through a good book and may finish that - and no it's not 50 shades of grey - the only shades of grey I want to see are promarkers!!!

Holidays

It seems ages since our holiday - hopefully we will get more sun soon though. When we were little we used to go for a bucket and spade holiday in North Berwick - we took the boys when they were younger as well. I love this stamp - it's just simple but says a lot. I am off to Wolverhampton Racecourse tomorrow and will probably spend quite a bit of money!! I have not turned into a gambler - they have a craft show on there!

This card is to be entered into the following challenges

Have Faith

FAITH is taking the first step even
 when you don't
see the whole staircase.

I have put this quotation inside this card. You may remember in April I put a photo on here of me and my lovely Turkish friend Deniz - we had a lovely day in London. We share so much in common - and sadly we share something else now - she has just been diagnosed with breast cancer. I have also made this card for a friend at work who  was also recently diagnosed and is going through chemo - I know too well how horrendous that is.When I was ill I was so blessed with lovely letters and cards - in fact that is what got me into card making - making some thank you cards.
I am going to enter this into two challenges just because it fits but hopefully Deniz wins the biggest challenge she is facing,

Distressed

IT's always me that ends up distressed when I use my Distress inks - I manage to get it everywhere but on the paper!!
I love quotes and I found these Bible inspirational quotes go really well with the Lighthouse/Beach stamp I picked up in America.
I shall enter it in

It does look better in Real Life - honest - the lighthouse has stickles and they really stand out .

Sunshine - yeah like that's going to happen!!

The theme for this card is SUNSHINE - a bit of a wash-out at the moment. Poor Aberystwyth is flooded!!
Spent two hours of valuable crafting time last night watching the 'Alan Carr Spectacular Show' - it wasn't!!! I watched as Alex was on it - after 1 hour and 55 mins he appeared...he did win a trip to Holland though but that's 2 hours of my life I will never get back.

This card is for the following challenges

Watching the Flotilla

Well the Jubilee Party is off until better weather tomorrow so have been watching the impressive parade of boats.
Not used this clock die-cut for ages and I got the Tim Holtz charlie chaplin type man one from Sarah. I love quotes and then I found this Kanban card from the huge stockpile I bought at their warehouse - so I put it together to make a card different from my usual girly flowery ones,
