Off again tomorrow

Had a great time at the NEC - but it went really quickly - going again tomorrow with Diane and really looking forward to it - obviously I won't be spending anything tomorrow - observation only!!!!
I bought some lovely bits from a dutch company called ludice - going there tomorrow to buy..i mean observe the rest of their stand.

found a fun digi on hambo stamps - very simple but made me smile - although i am more of a cuppa tea person than a coffee fiend. I am entering it in the mymumscraftshopchallenge- the challenge this week is using digis.

 Its the craft show tomorrow [ i won tickets]and i am really determined not to buy paper but if i have to ..i shall....looking forward to going again on sunday [won that for tickets as well!!!]....oh and just to be top it off I entered a free draw at the Mander Centre on Saturday - had a phone call to say I have won the first prize hamper....lots of bitty bits from Boots, Wallis, Regis, Perfume Shop, the Flower Stand and Millies Cookies...how fab is that. I have decided to start comping again  - you have got to be in it to win it!!!

yep  i am obviously going to get carried away making these - once i get an idea - it does not go- until the next fad..i was all distressed a few weeks ago - gone for the pinks and reds this time.....don't know where i got the elasticated ribbon from but its fab...perhaps i will get some more goodies at the NEC craft show on thursday...or sunday..not many more sleeps....

Recipe Card

My tidy up has been great - rediscovered loads of crafty bits i had forgotten about - this is my favourite tilda stamp - so versatile.  Yellow = lemon meringue recipe, brown=chocolate chip cookie recipe etc etc. So this is green tilda and i can enter her in three challenges.

mothers day pressie

i know officially it isn't mothers day til the morning but i could not wait - actually opened it on thursday - thank you phillip.

i had seen little CD cases with promarkers in but could not get one anywhere and then i got this sooper-dooper big one - thought i would never have enough promarkers to fill it but then thought of using it for my stamps as well.

i have impressed myself about how organised i have made it - stamped all my images and then pink for magnolia, blue for hanglar, white for LOTV and yellow for the rest.

not exactly portable - will have to get it insured cos if it goes up in flames- i will have to work another 10 years to replace all the bits!!

never going to jessops again

i have finally bought a camera - i will have a play with it later- nothing is straightforward though - went to jessops camera shop -chose my camera- the assistant tried to flog me a bigger memory card and a  camera case etc - so what did i say - no thank you it's for bedroom use only!!!! [as in the computer is in the spare bedroom and its just for taking photos of my cards] - she got flustered but i carried on regardless saying - i won't need any of the extra bits, i will just take photos in the bedroom and then delete them after.......at this point the 2 saturday staff were looking at me...then john walked into the shop and wondered why they were staring at him.  i then realised what i had said and i waffled on to them about making cards but i think the damage was done then.

Spring has Sprung

Its taken me ages to get this photo on here - could not work out how to crop and rotate - Rob has done the others but its Sunday and he is at his place of worship - the Moreton Arms. The sooner i get a camera and an idiots guide to uploading/downloading the better. If this photo does not appear to you upside down i am going to have a go at entering it into the joanna sheen challenge. The topic is Spring - by the time I get it entered they will be on the late Summer Challenge.[and at Sarahs suggestion the ribbon challenge at hotshotcrafts.]
The image is Mo Manning - what else. It is coloured with Promarkers. SU paper, ribbon and brads from stash.

UPDATE that was a disaster instead of this card and my name appearing - on the JS website there is a photo of me abseiling and it looks like my name is sprung spring!!!

Time for Tea

I was going to have a massive tidy up today of all my stuff - yes like that was going to happen. I was looking through my mo manning images and decided to use the teacup fairy....i am going to try and enter it in two challenges the one at http://www.totallygorjuss.blogspot.com     /[ anything goes with a button]

 and the other at http://www.mymumscraftshopchallenges.blogspot.com/   [ spring]

i have used a mo manning image - obviously......i have coloured with promarkers. I have used craftwork paper and stickles and buttons from my never ending bottle of buttons.

Luckily Alex is home this weekend and he has used his posh camera however I did go to Jessops today to buy a camera - i didn't actually get one but the thought was there - will look at their online sale.

For the twins

My old schoolfriend John is the father of two gorgeous girls - he became a father for the first time a few years back. We are the same age - he has my respect as I can't imagine running round after two four year olds. The girls will be 5 this month - they live in Ireland. I met them back in Leicester a few months ago and they are so lovely.Anyway - a quick photo of the cards before I get them in the post. The cards are a bit more blingy and sparkly in real life!!!
